Oana May is an ex-Meta leader, FAANG product coach, and 3x founder. She recently launched MOATCRAFT™, where she helps software developers and technical leaders strengthen their product sense and make better business-aligned decisions. Her impact is a result of the same systems she used to coach 500+ product leaders across the Bay Area, New York, and Seattle, helping them navigate ambiguity, sharpen strategic judgment, earn promotions, and land dream roles.

She works at the intersection of customers, business, and leadership, focusing on a question that matters more than ever: not just how to build, but what is actually worth building in the first place. As AI makes coding faster and cheaper, Oana helps teams develop the judgment to choose the right problems before writing a line of code.

With experience at Meta, global ecommerce leader for Avon, and 3 times founder of product led businesses, a background shaped by Harvard Business School, and a practical, tested approach to product thinking, she helps builders move beyond shipping features to making smarter bets.

Her students describe her:

  • “Sharpening my ability to think on my feet”

  • “Nudge to think differently”

  • “Offers thoughtful insights that deepen self awareness”

  • “Looked deeper into consumer motivators that impact success beyond metrics”

  • “Incredible ability to spot gaps”

  • “So much positivity”

  • “Created structure in my thought process”

  • “You giving me a hard time made me rethink my approach”

  • “I will never forget how you never let me give up on myself”

  • “You truly care about our success”

Helping Engineers Strengthen Their Strategic Muscle, Without the Pain (or the Cost) of Traditional Learning

Most Software Engineers find the business strategy discussions too messy, political and utterly nonsensical.

But in a world where AI replaces tasks and writes code faster and better than most junior Eng, writing code is no longer your moat. The AI era Product Engineers need to rewrite that and think strategically to make themselves truly invaluable.

They need to do what AI can't do: decide *what* to build.

After coaching 500+ Product Leaders using her method that consistently delivered results, Oana realized something was missing: no one is helping engineers, in a fun and accessible way.

She's changing that. While she's building a new, accessible, and engaging app for all engineers to level up their strategic thinking, she's running short, no-cost working sessions and sharing the learnings openly on YouTube.

Curious?
Join a relaxed, co-working session where you analyse an idea with Oana: no prep needed, no pressure involved, not even an idea - Oana can give you one (and you won't end up on a newsletter list).

Not sure you want to be on YouTube?

Shrey
Engineer, Cursor Ambassador

"I've never had this experience where I asked myself these tough questions.[...]  I see how effective this can be [...] especially as building with AI is really easy, building the right thing with AI is really hard."

David
Senior Engineering Contractor

”This sort of exercise is really, really helpful. Being able to pull back. [...]  I feel the pain of it, but it's worth it. The more often the better.”
